Wildcat Pride Brings Home 7 Trophies

Congratulations to the Wheeler Wildcat Pride, which brought home seven trophies Saturday night from the Valhalla Classic Marching Band Competition in Newnan.

1st Percussion
2nd Color Guard
2nd Drum Major

Overall
3rd Overall
1st Visual
2nd (tie) Visual General Effect

This year’s show, “Passion, Grace and Fire,” features the music of Astor Piazzola, Pat Metheny and Bobby McFerrin.

More than 2,000 high school band students in 20 bands participated in the Valhalla Classic on Saturday, Oct. 8 at Northgate High School in Newnan, Ga.
